The Erstwhile Philatelic Society

Formerly known as the Elsewhere Philatelic Society, this combination art collective/public space reclamation project/puzzle hunt organization has been active since 2010. We have taken participants on a time-travel tour of the Bay Bridge, served cake at the Albany Bulb for our fifth anniversary, encouraged and enabled participants to create stamp designs and mail art, and hidden clues in plain sight all over the Bay Area.

I’ve been responsible for designing and printing stamps, facilitating events, organizing 2 mailed-art object exhibitions, creating passports for stamp-collecting, and talking dozens of businesses into playing along.
