Relic Notebooks
I come across so much beautiful paper that is odd-sized or strangely made or otherwise unsuited for much practical use. Rather than simply hoard this paper in boxes and sift through it now and then, I decided to fold and sew it into a format that others might find not just attractive, but useful. The name Relic denotes the paper's rescue and elevation in status; the names are those of French Saints. The paper is all suitable for writing, such as ledger paper, quadrule, composition paper, and 24# colored bond.
Trash bins and recycling boxes all over San Francisco and Europe have been mined for new paper, and new Relics are in the works!
