Like Rip Van Winkle, I have awoken to find that everything has changed (and is that a beard?)! Good Mail Day entered stores and promptly sold out of its initial run. More are on the way soon--you can get yours from your local bookseller, or online from Amazon or Powell's. You can keep up with all of the Good Mail News at the Good Mail Day book blog. And finally, I've updated the superdilettante shop! Get yourself a new notebook. Need reading material? How about a gloomy zine or a very bright and cheerful Chinese zodiac here?

Sheesh! The shop is cleaned out! I've been working hard on Good Mail Day, but will turn my attention to making more books soon. Please get in touch with me if you are interested in any kind of custom made journal.
Pod Post has been featured in a new book, The Creative Entrepreneur by Lisa Sonora Beam. She'll be at the Bay Area Book Arts Jam October 18th, and so will I!

One of my notebooks is now in the hands of Lynda Barry! I stood in line with the other supplicants at Comic-Con 2008 and handed over a packet of goodies. You can see a picture of her clutching them to her chest here! Deeply #1!

San Francisco Zine Fest at the San Francisco County Fair Building (near the Botantical Gardens in Golden Gate Park), this Saturday and Sunday, July 19 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and July 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.. Word on the street is that there will even be kickball and beer! I'm madly working on a new one-shot zine to bring to the Fest. Come by and say hi, and I'll show you the way I torment Clutch with my admiration.

Exciting new class for the San Francisco Center for the Book in November. "Upcycling" describes the process of transforming waste products into something useful, and we'll be doing just that when we take pretty but unreadable books and turn them into groovy blank notebooks! I'll be out of town from July 10-July 17, and won't be checking email. If there's something you wish to buy, drop me an email. First date-stamped, first served. I'll also be restocking the shop upon my return. Expect some 1" buttons and stickers, some softcover journals, some thin pamphletty notebooks, and a few new hardcover journals.
